REALMED FIRST AID is committed to delivering first aid training as an engaging and educational experience. Our goal is to ensure that every learner feels confident in their ability to administer first aid when required.
This document outlines essential information about our first aid courses, facilities, payment options, and what to bring to your course.

· Training is held at various venues. Please read your booking confirmation carefully for details.
· Attendance is compulsory for all sessions to receive a certificate.
· Arrive at least 10 minutes before the course starts.
· Courses involve demonstrations and scenarios, which may involve physical interaction.
· Wear comfortable clothing to allow easy movement.
· Only enrolled learners are permitted in the course.
· Bring a pen and paper if you prefer to take notes.
· A first aid manual, and an e-certificate will be provided upon completion.
· Lunch is not provided.
· If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you will not be admitted and will need to rebook for another date.
· Mobile phones must be on silent mode.
· No smoking or alcohol is permitted during training.
· Trainers may request disruptive learners to leave the course when reasonable.
Before training commences, we will provide learners with relevant course details, including:
· Enrolment procedures and entry requirements
· Competencies to be achieved
· Assessment procedures
· Our Training Code of Practice and FAQ (available on our website)
· Other relevant course materials, including pre-course online learning.
REALMED FIRST AID offers the following courses:
· Comprehensive First Aid – 12 hours.
o Meets WorkSafe NZ and New Zealand Resuscitation Council guidelines.
· Workplace First Aid – 8 hours.
o Meets WorkSafe NZ and New Zealand Resuscitation Council guidelines.
· Certificates are valid for two years.
· Renewal First Aid – 6 hours (certificate valid for two years).

· Open entry for all first aid courses.
· Basic English comprehension is required.
· Courses involve practical first aid skills; assessments are primarily practical with minimal writing requirements.
· If assistance is needed, our trainers are available to help.
· If you have concerns regarding literacy, numeracy, or other learning challenges, please inform your trainer at the start of the course.
REALMED FIRST AID provides professional first aid education. All trainers are qualified first aid trainers and certified Emergency Care Instructors by the New Zealand Resuscitation Council.
We do not register NZQA credits. Please refer to the NZQA website for a list of accredited providers.
· Course fees are set as per our website at the time of booking unless agreed otherwise.
· Payments can be made via credit card or invoice.
· Failure to pay by the due date may result in:
o Additional costs incurred for debt recovery.
Refunds are issued when:
· A course is cancelled or discontinued by us.
· A learner has a valid reason (e.g., medical) for withdrawing.
Refunds will only be processed to the original payer. No refunds for cancellations or no-shows, but rebooking is permitted at our discretion, subject to availability.
All cancellations and rebooking requests must be sent via email to info@realmed.co.nz or through our website contact form.
· Assessments are conducted by qualified trainers.
· Attendance at all course modules and completion of all assessments is required to receive certification.
· Assessments may be attempted up to three times.
· Uncompleted assessments must be redone within three months.
· Assessment materials are retained for moderation for at least two years.
· Learners must demonstrate the ability to perform first aid skills.
· CPR competency requires learners to perform compressions on the floor.
· If physical limitations exist, discuss with the trainers before training.
REALMED FIRST AID protects learners’ privacy and does not share information without consent. Personal details are only used for training purposes as per the Privacy Act 1993.
· First aid certificates from any New Zealand-accredited provider are recognized if issued within the past 27 months.

· Following course curriculum requirements strictly.
· Providing suitable training facilities and necessary materials.
· Supporting learners with learning difficulties.
· We prioritize the health and safety of employees and learners.
· Any health concerns should be disclosed to the trainer before training.
· We adhere to WorkSafe NZ guidelines and relevant health and safety legislation.
· When training at client venues, we expect comprehensive Health and Safety policies to be in place.
If you are dissatisfied with your course experience, follow these steps:
1. Speak with your course trainer.
2. If unresolved, submit a written complaint to REALMED FIRST AID at info@realmed.co.nz.
3. If still unresolved, seek independent legal assessment at your own cost.
