Purpose of the Course
The Comprehensive First Aid Course is ideal for workplaces with moderate to high-risk environments. It equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide effective emergency first aid.
Our course emphasizes hands-on, practical training in an engaging and interactive learning environment.
This course meets:
✅ Basic Trained Responder requirements within the NZRC Responder Training Framework
✅ ANZCOR guidelines for Basic Life Support (BLS)
The course covers the same content as unit standards 6400, 6401 & 6402

Our course combines in-person training with self-paced online learning:

What you'll learn (Course Content)
The training includes a mix of theoretical learning and practical scenarios, covering:
✅ Scene assessment & management
✅ Primary assessment
✅ Adult, child & infant CPR (QCPR app provides real-time feedback on technique)
✅ Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
✅ Choking first aid techniques
✅ Bleeding and shock management
✅ Injuries (Fractures, Dislocations, Sprains & Strains)
✅ Medical emergencies (Heart Attack, Stroke, Diabetes, Seizures, Asthma)
✅ Anaphylaxis and how to use an EpiPen use
✅ Burns (Thermal, Chemical & Electrical)
✅ Poisoning emergencies
✅ Spinal and head injuries
✅ Environmental hazards (Hypothermia, Hypothermia, Bites & Stings)
Who Can Enrol? (Prerequisites & Requirements)
✅ The course is delivered in English, and a basic understanding of English is required.
✅ Participants must be physically able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR.
✅ Participants must be atleast 16 years old, unless they have parental consent.

Yes! You’ll receive a first aid e-certificate upon successful completion of the course.
Can you register NZQA credits?
No, this certificate does not include NZQA credits. For credit-bearing options, please visit the NZQA website to find a list of accredited providers. However, the course content covers the same course material as US 6400, 6401, and 6402.
