Training focuses on:
Recognising emergencies early
Making clear decisions under pressure
Providing effective first aid
Communicating and working as a team
Continuing care until emergency services arrive
Providing a clear handover to responding personnel
This course uses a blended-learning format to maximise practical training time.

New Zealand workplaces must provide adequate first aid equipment, facilities and access to an adequate number of trained first aiders. The first aid arrangements selected should reflect the workplace’s size, location, workforce and identified risks.
WorkSafe recommends that workplace first aiders receive training from an NZQA-accredited organisation.
RealMed First Aid is not an NZQA-accredited provider and does not award NZQA unit standards. Our training is delivered by an NZ Resuscitation Council-certified Emergency Care Instructor, aligned with current ANZCOR guidelines and tailored to the needs and risks of each workplace.
Participants who successfully complete the course receive a RealMed First Aid certificate valid for two years.
If your employer, industry body, contract or organisation specifically requires NZQA unit standards, you should select an NZQA-accredited training provider.
Our focus is simple: preparing people to respond effectively in real emergencies.
